UAE, the United Arab Emirates, a country in the Arabian Peninsula, is located on the Persian
Gulf also bordering the Gulf of Oman. It is a federation of seven Emirates or princedoms Abu
Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain. Its coastline
spreads over about 650 kms (404 miles) most of which consists of the grounds covered with salt
and other minerals. Dubai, the largest natural harbor, is most visited by tourist with Sharjah
holding the second position. Among others the tourism attractions here include parks, zoos,
museums, beaches, entertainment places, architecture and shopping malls. Abu Dhabi is the
capital, Dubai the largest city and major international airport among others in the country.

Tourist seasons: High tourist season December, June, mid and low seasons January to May
and July to November.
