Trinidad and Tobago: This twin Island country shares maritime borders with Barbados,
Grenada, Guyana and Venezuela. Spread over an area of about 1980 sq miles the country has
two main Islands and several smaller ones. One of the wealthiest and developed nations in the
Caribbean, Trinidad Island has most of the population of the country and Tobago has a very small
portion. Tourist attraction here include the unspoiled natural beauty ranging from picturesque
Pitch Lake to the Hemisphere’s oldest protected rainforests, nature watching of over 450 species
of birds, butterflies, orchids, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, surfing, kayaking, diving, other water
sports, sightseeing and local events. Port of Spain is the capital, the largest municipality and a
cruise port. The largest airport Port Au Prince is known as Piarco International. Tobago’s airport
known as ANR Robinson International is located in Crown Point. Regular direct or connecting
flights serve these airports via USA and Europe.

Getting around: Personal and rental autos, public buses, taxies, mini buses, ferries, air services
for inter island and water taxis for inter city travel.

Tourist seasons: High tourist season is January and February, mid season, March to May and
low season June to December.
