St Barts Island : Abbreviated from Saint Barthelemy this very small but wealthy and
prosperous Island is located in the Caribbean Sea. This French speaking Island is spread over an
area of about 9.7 sq miles encircled by shallow reefs and is about 22 miles from St Martin. The
Island is known to be the playground of rich and famous. New Year’s Eve seems to be the
busiest time for incoming tourist. The Island is a secluded place suitable for those who prefer
privacy and hide away. Tourist attractions here include beautiful sandy beaches, clear waters,

shopping, Capital city Gustavia has a small airport with facilities for smaller aircraft connecting
from the neighboring Islands like St Martin and San Juan of Puerto Rico. Inter Island ferries and
private charter boat services operate between St Martin and this Island.

Getting around: Taxis, rental autos, motorbikes, scooters, bicycles and jogging are the
transportation facilities for sightseeing and getting around.

season May to November.
