Rivera Maya: This is a Mexico’s tourist district lying parallel to the Caribbean Sea coastline in the state of Quintana Roo in the eastern part of Yucatan Peninsula in a flat terrain with low tropical jungle. Traditionally the district starts in the city of Playa del Carmen and ends at the village of Tulum. However, other somewhat farther tourist areas like Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carman and Felipe Carrillo Puerto are also promoted as Riviera Maya, which is renowned for its all inclusive resorts, boutique hotels, white sand beaches, vibrant coastal cities, attractions and activities, fine dinning and other tourism facilities. Cancun International airport is about 30 miles away from this area.

Tourist seasons: High tourist season is December to January, July, August and around some holiday times, mid season February to June and low season September to November.
