Jaipur, 55 kms (34 miles) from Agra, the city of Taj, is known for its bird sanctuary at Keoladeo
Ghana National Park which is said to be one of the world’s best bird watching areas. Over three
hundred species of birds can be found in this small 29 sq kms (11 sq miles) park, popularly
known as Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary, where migratory birds come from as far away as Siberia
and Central Asia to spend winter seasons, including several species of Cranes, Pelicans, Geese,
Ducks, Eagles, Hawks, Shanks, Stints, Wagtails, Warblers, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Buntings,
