Ghana, a country in West Africa, borders the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Guinea to the south. It is the second rich country in gold production. Its coastline is about 560 kms (350 miles). It is a land of widely spaced tree woodlands, grasslands, forests, Plaines, springs, mountains, lakes and rivers. Island of Dodi, about three miles off the shores of Lake Volta, the world’s largest artificial lake, is a tourist destination. Among others the tourism attractions here include wildlife, waterfalls, beaches, caves, rivers, mountains, lakes, castles, forts, nature reserves, national parks, historical and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Accra is the capital, the largest city and the major international airport among a couple of others in the country.
