Curacao Island This Dutch Island in the Caribbean Sea is located off the coast of
Venezuela. Spread over an area of about 37.90 x 8.70 miles, the Island consists of the main
Island and an uninhabited one named Klein Curacao. This is one of the ABC Islands A=Aruba,
B= Bonaire and C=Curacao and follows Dutch norms. Tourist attractions here include beautiful
beaches, spectacular coral reefs seen on Seaworld Explorer, a semi-submarines, idea scuba
diving, snorkeling, water sports, seventeenth century architecture, National Park, sightseeing,
golf, tennis, casinos, arts, crafts and shopping. Willemstad is the capital city and the Curacao
airport also known as Hato International Airport is located here besides the two cruise ports
named Mega Pier and St Anna’s Bay. Cruise ships, direct and connecting flight from USA and
other countries of the world serve this Island.
Getting around: Auto rentals are best, taxis can be expensive, limited public bus services is
least expensive but may be inadequate sometimes and some hotels provide shuttle services.
