Cozumel: This is an Island in Mexico in the Yucatan Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo.
This prominent tourist destination is known as SPA town resort, scuba diving, snorkeling and
other water sports and activities. Scuba diving one of the primary activities here due to coral reef
marine communities. The major town here is San Miguel de Cozumel located about 56 miles from
Cancun and six miles from the mainland. This Island is covered with impenetrable jungle with

Getting around: Personal and rental autos, taxis and moped, traveling from Cancun to Cozumel
can be by bus or taxi to Playa Del Carmen and ferry service from the ferry pier.

Tourist seasons: High tourist season is December to April, mid season May to July and low
season August to November.
